Lie Detection Group — Full redesign for a lie detector services website
Full redesign for a polygraph (lie detector) services company in Kyiv and across Ukraine. The client's domain is 13 years old. Instead of patching legacy WordPress — clean markup with a planned custom theme migration. New design in development; the client's current site remains live.
The project is still in development, so the new design is not live yet. The client’s current website remains available at liedetection.com.ua, and Lighthouse metrics will be published after launch.

Challenge
SEO at risk. The domain has been live for 13 years — accumulated rankings, backlinks, and Google trust. Any live redesign without careful migration could wipe out years of work.
Technical debt built over 13 years:
- dozens of plugins (forms, SEO, sliders, cache, builders — often duplicating each other)
- page builder layout (Elementor, WPBakery) — heavy DOM, inline styles, extra scripts
- outdated shortcodes and dead code from removed plugins
- bloated database: revisions, transients, options from inactive extensions
- slow loading due to the builder CSS/JS cascade
Typical SEO issues:
- missing or incomplete structured data
- no Open Graph / Twitter Cards
- no hreflang
- incorrect heading hierarchy, weak semantics
- minimal accessibility
- abstract CTAs with no clear value
Main constraint: change everything visually and technically, remove the bloat — and do not lose accumulated SEO equity.
Solution
Architecture: clean WP theme instead of patching
- Was: 13-year WordPress — plugins, builder, outdated markup
- Now: static HTML/CSS/JS — premium redesign, SEO passport
- Next: clean custom WP theme — ACF integration, no page builder
Search visibility
- Canonical URL on all 22 pages
- Hreflang UK / RU / EN + x-default; language switcher
- JSON-LD: LocalBusiness, WebSite, FAQPage, HowTo, Article, WebPage
- Sitemap.xml — 22 URLs with lastmod and priorities
- Unique title + meta description on every page
Social media
- Full Open Graph and Twitter Cards on the homepage
- Correct previews when sharing on Telegram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Viber
Performance
- Self-hosted Inter + Manrope fonts in woff2
- Preload critical fonts, lazy-loaded images
- Inline theme script — no FOUC on dark/light toggle
- Local Lenis, GSAP, Swiper, Fancybox — no extra CDNs
Accessibility
- Skip navigation, semantic HTML5, ARIA labels
- h1 → h2 → h3 hierarchy, breadcrumbs with aria-label
- Dark / Light theme with prefers-color-scheme
Conversion & UX
- Premium redesign: glass cards, GSAP, Lenis
- Telegram chat widget for direct contact
- Value-driven CTAs, adaptive mega-menu + mobile drawer
Technical SEO (pre-launch)
- Staging: noindex, nofollow + robots.txt Disallow: /
- After launch: production robots.txt, remove noindex, 301 redirects if needed
Result
22 Ukrainian pages ready for WordPress integration: homepage, contacts, pricing, FAQ, services, articles and legal offer.
Paired SEO audit of every page: old version ↔ new. Not a single search signal lost — only new ones added:
- 0 JSON-LD → Structured Data on key pages
- No OG tags → full sharing previews
- No hreflang → UK ↔ RU ↔ EN (architecture ready)
- Page builder + plugins → clean markup → clean WP theme
- ~30% Accessibility → 90%+ (target after launch)
- Abstract CTAs → value-driven CTAs
⏳ Project in development. Lighthouse before/after and final metrics will be published after production deployment.
Remaining before launch: llms.txt, RU/EN translations, OG on inner pages, BreadcrumbList in JSON-LD, clean WP theme integration, production robots.txt, 301 redirects if needed.
